The world's first "Women in Sports" international photography competition, in order to raise international attention to women's sports participation, let women participating in sports be seen, pay tribute to sports photographers, and let the world see Taiwan's efforts to attach importance to sports equality. The call for entries for the competition has ended on 1/31. Anthony Edgar, chairman of the jury, said:
"The number of female contestants in the international group exceeds 40%, and the proportion of female participants in the domestic group is as high as 50%. I have never seen a professional photography competition with so many female photographers participating!" It’s a great thing for a first-time competition!”
Sophiyah Liu, chairman of the organizing committee, said:
"This is the first time we've held a photo contest, and we're so excited to have so many great submissions! It's one of the best ways to support the movement, and we're thrilled with the results!"
Wang Yunqing (Bogo), the convener of the photo contest, said:
"By running this competition, I believe we are taking the first step in the right direction to promote sports equality. Such a high proportion of female participation, and many male photographers shooting women in sports, means that this competition is definitely as we hope I would like to increase the attention of sports equality issues.”

Keelung County, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Yilan County, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City, Taichung City, Nantou County, Changhua County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Taitung County, Penghu County, and two applicants holding residence permits are from Macau and Singapore respectively
📷The total number of pieces in the campus group is 173 pieces. There were 49 participants, including 35 women, accounting for 71.43%. Participants came from 22 different schools.
